This little pinecone is a triumph in my art studio. I have always loved pinecones, and I suppose in Wisconsin, that’s not too out of the ordinary. I collect them like seashells sometimes. I currently have handfuls of them in my studio.
Thing is, these little things are tough to paint! A cone with a spiral of unfolding bits that are not *quite* regular. When this one turned out just right, I was thrilled.
